In the Greek language, a pharmakon can be defined as a drug, poison, medicine, potion, remedy, spell, or cure. This enigmatic list presents a paradox of both negative and positive meaning which is left open to interpretation. In a secular sense, we often speak of rituals as actions we feel the need to perform on a regular basis, but in many cases quantity and dosage make all the difference. Assessing the usefulness of our decisions requires us to check in.
